Get Involved
By Diezel P

Drop:
Get Live, Get Crunk, Get Hype, Get Up, Get Right, Get You’re a$$ involved.x2

Verse 1:
I move swiftly while you cats move slightly/
You think your crews enticing because your jewels are shiny/
Ha ha, obviously you ain’t met a dude like me/
I’m in it for the long haul while y’all packed a small load/
Go ahead play the wall yo, and watch you bond with it/
Can’t move from the bricks so you ain’t doing sh*t/
I’m trying to expand the land where I am/
So I got a plan that demands a hand from my fam, damn/
Quit the fiction claiming that your living in the streets/
When your only bitchin’ reminiscing on a vivid dream/
Your getting C.R.E.A.M than get involved/
Why don’t you try hitting the scene with a style that’s more evolved/
When I get access, I’m going to revolve like the axis/
Around the planets and resolve all the damage/
I know it’s hard to understand, let alone manage it/
But don’t sit on the issue if you ain’t standing it/

Chorus:
(Sing) Now get you’re a$$ off the wall and get involved/
Get you’re a$$ up off the wall, get involved/
(Sing) There ain’t a problem we can’t solve if you get involved/
Get you’re a$$ up off the wall, get involved/

Drop:
Get Live, Get Crunk, Get Hype, Get Up, Get Right, Get You’re a$$ involved.x2

Verse 2:
It’s Diezel P, soon to be what the people seek/
Because I relate and I spread it out equally/
I’m bi-pedal, your position’s still fetal/
I got a clear vision your staring through the peep hole/
So get your bifocals or keep your mind local/
Like satellite photos my sights stay global/
Planning to show you this hectic life that I go through/
And how I’m about to change it with a mic and my vocals/
Yo, these rap singers are wingless, I had to fly solo/
So you can’t speak on me like anti-socials/
Uh Oh, you stalling cats better keep it movin’/
Or the crowd will quit on you like a resolution/
I practice execution like an army of Cubans/
But I ain’t shooting, I just follow through on what I’m doin’/
So stop speaking like your album is a secret/
How you don’t want to leak, I’ll believe it when I see it/

Chorus:
(Sing) Now get you’re a$$ off the wall and get involved/
Get you’re a$$ up off the wall, get involved/
(Sing) There ain’t a problem we can’t solve if you get involved/
Get you’re a$$ up off the wall, get involved/

Drop:

Outro:
All my people on the west, Get you’re a$$ involved/
All my people on the east, Get you’re a$$ involved/
All my people down south, Get you’re a$$ involved/
All my people up north, Get you’re a$$ involved/
All my people on the map, Get you’re a$$ involved/
It don’t matter where you at, Get you’re a$$ involved/

Track Name: No Way Out
Verse 1:
Summers over, no more relief from bullies and thieves/
Who took his lunch money for their personal feast/
Try to tell his family, but they didn’t believe/
Just in excuse not to go to school is all that they see/
Already the first day, and picked on in the worst way/
Broke his glasses, looks like a nerd with the taped frames/
Murmurs to himself “I’m tired of the names and the pain”/
Tomorrow I’ll come with something so I can take aim/
Morning comes, navigates to his dad’s gun rack/
Stealth like, reaches for the strap, stuffs his backpack/
Swagger’s changed up, walks tough with a gak/
Begging for attention, basically to lure in attacks/
3 o’clock hit, journey’s home solo through the backstreets/
That’s when the gang hopped out from the trash heap/
The leader gets close, and grips the kids clothes/
Fist clinched closed, that’s when he put the barrel on the bridge of his nose and said/

Chorus 1:
There’s no way out, ain’t nobody gonna leave/
There’s no way out, because I got to see you bleed/
I’ve been picked on for too long and I tried to escape/
Now there’s now way out and for you it’s too late/
There’s no way out, ain’t nobody gonna leave/
There’s no way out, because I got to see you bleed/
I’ve been picked on for too long and I tried to escape/
Now there’s now way out and for you it’s too late/

Verse 2:
16 years old now, lived her life in suburbia/
Where situations like her’s where virtually unheard of/
Reserved type, close friends she was unsure of /
Never exposed, especially with clothes, she had no trust/
With good reason, because at home when momma was sleeping/
Papa was creeping, terrified when she heard the door creaking/
He would peep in, eyes closed, she would pretend/
She knew no better, until she got a real friend/
Sometimes she’d stay with them, and see fatherly lovin’/
With no inappropriate touching, that’s when she saw her dysfunction/
Got home one night and got a knife to hide/
Knew to stop these forced acts that somebody had to die/
Played the sleeping actress, arm hanging over the mattress/
That’s when she felt her dad’s kiss and turned and jabbed quick/
His eyes grew she heard his last breath escape/
Finally feeling safe, smile on her face she said/

Chorus 2:
There’s no way out, ain’t no way your gonna leave/
There’s no way out, because I got to see you bleed/
I’ve been raped for too long and I tried to escape/
Now there’s now way out and for you it’s too late/
There’s no way out, ain’t no way your gonna leave/
There’s no way out, because I got to see you bleed/
I’ve been raped for too long and I tried to escape/
Now there’s now way out and for you it’s too late/

Verse 3:
Married for 6 years, together for about ten/
But the last year is when the clouds rolled in/
Knew his business got busy in the summer time/
But in the 8 years there he never worked this much over time/
Suspicion kicks in, no more good by kisses/
Because they used to share the morning shift but he suddenly switched it/
Now he swings in 2 ways, but without his wife’s permission/
She can’t give her opinion because than he gets to hittin’/
Victim-eyes (Victimized), dripping tears every night/
Grew up in a Christian life, so she kept giving a try/
Sick of the lies, divorce was in the near future/
Communication lacked, so he didn’t know she’s coming home sooner/
Slippin’, he invites over the intruder/
She comes home and hears the sounds he used to make when he would do her/
Out of her mind, she goes to find his ruger/
Bust through the door, right before she’s about to shoot him and her she says/

Chorus:
There’s no way out, ain’t nobody gonna leave/
There’s no way out, because somebody has to bleed/
You’ve cheated for too long and you should of escaped/
Now there’s no way out and for you it’s too late/
There’s no way out, ain’t nobody gonna leave/
There’s no way out, because somebody has to bleed/
You’ve cheated for too long and you should of escaped/
Now there’s no way out and for you it’s too late/

Track Name: Micah Fone
Verse 1:
Ey Yo, who the hell is this, average rapping, tight grabbing/
Spitting saliva in my face and stays cussing at me/
Voice all raspy, palms sweaty and nasty/
He just snatched me off the stand and didn’t even ask me/
I’m trying to translate the words to this song but I’m not understanding/
But he is getting a good response/
His first impression was wrong, showed me disrespect/
Beating on my head, repeating “Mic Check, Mic Check”/
If he does me like that again, you can believe that/
I will get short with him or give him negative feedback/
Or go completely off and show him truly who’s boss/
I’d love to hear him scream his words and watch his voice get lost, uhm mmm/
Don’t assume or confuse me with a softy/
I just hate the encores because afterwards they drop me/
And watch me, break a bone and never come on/
Than they’ll recognize who I am, it’s Micah Fone/

Chorus (DJ Queasy Scratching Throughout Chorus):
It’s Micah Fone

Verse 2:
Finally a smooth gentleman and a woman of elegance/
Serenading me and holding me like I’m delicate/
Now I ain’t saying rappers don’t think intelligent/
But they speak with intellect and they sing of relevance/
But there is one thing I don’t like though/
How they tip me up like a cup when they hit the high notes/
Plus it hurts the ears when I amplify those/
But the calm vibe is real nice at the live shows/
They mostly, move slowly so they expose me better/
Love to be the center so keep the focus on me/
See they can roam with me, unlike the ones the use to record the track/
Because with me there’s no strings attached/
Well a wire in this case, it’s dryer in this place/
Less sweat, but still get the scent of their hot breath/
But yes, they do make me feel most at home/
Because they recognize who I am, it’s Micah Fone/

Chorus (DJ Queasy Scratching Throughout Chorus):
It’s Micah Fone

Verse 3:
So let me summarize my feelings about these other guys/
Death makes me nervous way beyond butterflies/
How the crowd get loud when they throw me to the ground/
F*** that, plus they scream at me like I’m a child/
Now reggae fights for rights and that’s lovely/
But I wish they’d scrub their teeth after they blow weed/
It gets smokey and the contact makes me blow a fuse/
Like I do when the tear drops hit me from the blues/
I know I’m quick to accuse the abuse until I’m refused/
Because at the jazz shows, I’m fiending to be used/
And yes it is true, the pop stars make my job easy/
Because most the time the track speaks while they’re lip synching/
Now there’s many genres, they all give me problems/
But I know I wouldn’t be nothing, without all of them/
So I show respect, because they’re the reason that I’m known/
Now the world knows who I am, it’s Micah Fone/

Chorus (DJ Queasy Scratching Throughout Chorus):
It’s Micah Fone

Track Name: Scratchin' the Surface
Verse 1:
Sometimes I want to put my life on pause and stand by,
Because hip hop today has me losing hope in mankind,
I plan to shine, about to leave the earth with tan lines,
And always supply fans when they demand rhymes,
Can’t understand why emcees are lackadaisical,
Same flow on the radio, but still rotational,
Got to face it though, not everybody comprehends the message,
But their expecting to get heard with no work ethic,
Is this city worth reppin’? I’m hesitant,
It’s showing its true colors like the president claiming confederate (Bush at the time)
But I don’t let it intercept my mind,
And I don’t hate emcees that write to testify,
About what they’ve done in life, but when they glorify,
The repercussions of crime, leaving corruption as our spine,
It wouldn’t slide in a speech, but they love it in a rhyme,
That’s why stereotypes are solidified.

Chorus:
What do you do when that pain starts hurting?
When it seems that your dreams aren’t worth it?
When you’re alone and it ain’t on purpose?
Just scratchin’ the surface, I’m scratchin’ the surface yo,
What do you do when that pain starts hurting?
When every decision is uncertain?
When you realize your plans aren’t working?
Just scratchin’ the surface, I’m scratchin’ the surface.

Verse 2:
I’m all alone on this cold planet, losing oxygen/
Everyday I’m chipping away like weathered granite/
I can’t stand it, my minds compact with problems/
Plans, dreams, worries, and might I add knowledge/
That I share through lyrics but they don’t take me serious/
A young man but underline the MAN because I’ve experienced/
The difficulties of life y’all, I’m far from novice/
With fatherhood obligations and unspoken promises/
Right now, my kids are my only accomplishment/
A paralyzed mind, but they showed me how to walk again/
So up I go, with them in the back of my brain/
Keeping me in tact and sane, even when the facts remain/
That it’s a lost cause, but I’m going to still try to/
Rise like the sun at the peak of high noon/
And when I reach the top, I’ll prove you can fly too/
Even when simple minds are decreasing your I.Q.

Verse 3:
(DJ Queasy: Scratching)
I got you stuck off the realness, I can see it inside your face/ (8 bars)
Diezel P:
I’m still on the path wondering with no plan/
Channel surfing through life trying to get with the program/
Holding hands with a slow man/
Held back by the test of what sales, well I guess I failed that/
Been to hell and back, but still they hate on us/
Like optimistic rap can’t be played in clubs/
A public enemy with my flavor of love/
But like young Jack Daniels, I’m creating a buzz, so what/

I’m Living and I’m loving life/ Right now I feel like everything is going right/
It’s a beautiful day, nothing can go wrong/ A wonderful day, I hope this feeling keeps goin’/

It’s a beautiful day, nothing can go wrong/ A wonderful day, I hope it never moves on/

Verse 1:
Today I got to thank the pain I’ve felt/
Because if it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t recognize this day so well/
Hit the court, I never played so well/
See my kids playing near the sideline, they haven’t behaved so well/
Cooperative and listening, pay off for my positive discipline/
The fam’s together with no arguing or bitchin’/
Just got me a dime, and I’m far from snitchin’/
I’m talking about a fly chick, whatever I do she’s with it/
Time to freshen up, I got a show later this evening/
Cleaned up my act, but tonight I’m drinking/
No work the next day, finally got off a weekend/
Foreshadow the coming hours, to good times is what I’m seeking/
Me and my kids’ mom is finally getting along/
Everything is going write so I decide to do this song/
Hit up flip to see if I can get in the booth/
He says “coo”, damn today I can’t lose/

Verse 2:
In 2 hours laid down 2 tracks to the project/
Album seems to be the topic of the local gossip/
They want a sample, just to see what it is I’m rocking/
But ain’t a song getting leaked, I had to clog the faucet/
Make them anticipate, spent most the day in the sun/
Got to play with my sons, dropped them off when we were done/
Check the highlights, my favorite team won/
Check the news, coo, none of my friends are on the run/
Time to go, first time on time to the show/
8:30 and the lines already reaching the road/
enough sold so I can get some doe/
rock the joint, ain’t trippin’ off these chicks I got one at home/
hit the bar, got some free drinks and some feedback/
much praise, cats saying that they can’t believe that/
I don’t got a deal, or why the radio don’t play that/
I’m like thanks for the support, man I really need that/

Chorus (Rosebud Singing):
I’m Living and I’m loving life/ Right now I feel like everything is going right/
It’s a beautiful day, nothing can go wrong/ A wonderful day, I hope this feeling keeps goin’/
I’m Living and I’m loving life/ Right now I feel like everything is going right/
It’s a beautiful day, nothing can go wrong/ A wonderful day, I hope it never moves on/

Drop (Rosebud singing):
Get up if your loving life, stand up if your living right/
Cheer up and start loving life, stand up and start living right/
Get up if your loving life, stand up if your living right/

Verse 3:
Now if you feel what you do, than you can do what you feel/
Its all about keeping it real/
If you feel like I feel, we gone spread it all across the globe/
Because loves the only road we should go/
If you do what you feel, you can feel what you do/
Its all about keeping it true/
If you feel like I do, we gone spread it all across the globe/
Because pain ain’t the road we should go/

Chorus (Rosebud Singing):
I’m Living and I’m loving life/ Right now I feel like everything is going right/
It’s a beautiful day, nothing can go wrong/ A wonderful day, I hope this feeling keeps goin’/
I’m Living and I’m loving life/ Right now I feel like everything is going right/
It’s a beautiful day, nothing can go wrong/ A wonderful day, I hope it never moves on/
Track Name: Modern Day Slaves
Verse 1:
Might as well be a back slashing with these tax brackets/
Understand Uncle Sam’s tactics to steal your cash/
Repossess your check ‘til the point the 9 to 5 is disrespect/
Billion Dollar corporation’s emblem on my chest/
Than they got me wearing a vest to represent/
“What’s that boss?” you ask why I’m negative?/
What do you expect? Me to give 100 percent?/
Do what’s best for the company so they can benefit?/
And I ain’t getting s**t, never see a pay increase/
13 hour shifts, and barely get to see my babies/
They don’t appreciate me, I mess up their quick to blame me/
I do good, they got to read my tag just to name me/
Man, Mr. President we have a bad crisis/
It seems wages aren’t rising with the gas prices/
And can you tell me why we’re still in Iraq fightin’/
Because it’s been a year since my man seen his wife and kid/

Chorus:
MR. PRESIDENT, what can I do for you today?/
MR. SENATOR, tell me what the f*** you’ve done for me?/
We’re just modern day slaves, break our backs to the grave/
Robots in the flesh programmed to behave/
MR. CONGRESSMAN, what can I do for you today?/
EVERY POLITICIAN, tell me what the f*** you done for me?/
We’re just modern day slaves, break our backs to the grave/
Robots in the flesh told to do what you say/

Verse 2:
It’s like the politicians want us living on the streets/
Got to be wealthy to eat healthy, so what my kids’ going to eat?/
And fast food happens to be conveniently cheap/
Packed with grease, the obese eagerly seek/
Like fiends filling their jeans up with cellulite/
Got to pay extra on the price to get no pesticides/
A slow genocide, but the outcome is almost certain/
Got us so tired that even working out is a burden/
They ain’t stopping it, Man made disease on top of it/
That seems to really flourish in the darker of continents/
For a tea spoon of milk to feel dominant/
In a cup of black coffee that they still call a threat/
Except now it’s subliminal and under their breath/
But still we’re labeled criminals, sentenced to death/
No more Jim Crow, instead they got death row/
The innocent get their neck broke by the stretched rope/

Chorus:

Verse 3:
These days I spend my time trying to straighten how I’m livin’/
Contemplating ways to make a better situation/
But its hard work trying to take your life farther/
Their making it harder, dreams get slaughtered like Darfur/
And while I’m speaking, I used to only want to bring overseas peace/
Until I realized the help our country needs/
With projects filled with third world apartments/
Murderous terrorists and I don’t mean Islamic Bomb threats/
I mean racist policemen, the Ku Klux and such/
Who think that sharing this stolen land is doing too much/
While politicians mix in the faith of Christians/
A forced religion, while blacks support predictions that’s man written/
Damn the contradiction, the same that say they love and respect/
Run around towns with the slaves blood on their necks/
Wrist and Ears from African sweat and tears/
Diamonds are a man’s best friend now, we switched gears/

Chorus:

Track Name: This Is For You
Drop: (Diezel P and Aaron O’Bryan Smith sings)
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah (x3) this is for you.
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah (x3) this is for you.

Verse 1: (Diezel P)
This is for my strong sistas, who got away from the wrong mister/
Who had to dip because you figured out he’s a hard hitter/
Your through with him, eluded him, now he’s secluded man/
You took the kids because you don’t need that to influence them/
Got to admire the courage to want to flourish/
Single mom keeps the lights on and place furnished/
Though the pay ain’t great, you keep working to stay earnest/
Always got food for thought, so lets eat and keep learning/
For all my strong ladies that are maybe in their late teens/
Early 20’s, getting education still chasing dreams/
Not even needing school to prove you got class/
And your not vulnerable to all the dudes who want a**/
Rational decisions, you keep your vision on the path/
To one day make a difference and your sticking with your plan/
Proud of your independence, never wishing for a man/
But once you get him you’ll give him all you can/

Chorus: (Aaron O’Bryan Smith Sings)
My real ladies this is for you!
‘cause we appreciate all that you do!
My real fellas this is for you!
‘cause we appreciate all that you do! Yeah

Drop: (Diezel P and Aaron O’Bryan Smith sings)
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah (x3) this is for you.
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah (x3) this is for you.

Verse 2: (Diezel P)
This is for my brothas over worked and under appreciated/
Your life’s pain reflects in your face quite blatant/
Only way you escape it is getting inebriated/
And because of it you want to break down like abbreviations/
But you found a reason to live, that’s seeing your kids/
Even though your baby’s mom split because y’all didn’t click/
And every minute that you get you take a trip to visit/
No matter the distance, you show your fatherhood commitment/
To all my fellas who live with their past and took the wrong path/
Looking for a second chance but never given a hand/
Stereotyped, generalized, and misunderstood/
By those who never knew, but they swear they know the truth/
But you lace up your boots and still walk this road alone/
Ambition is always shown, roam until you find a home/
And if your always lost or the evils make you fall/
Much respect to you homie because you gave it your all/

Chorus: (Aaron O’Bryan Smith Sings)
My real ladies this is for you!
‘cause we appreciate all that you do!
My real fellas this is for you!
‘cause we appreciate all that you do! Yeah

Drop: (Diezel P and Aaron O’Bryan Smith sings)
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah (x3) this is for you.
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah (x3) this is for you.
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah (x3) this is for you.
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah (x3) this is for you.

Track Name: Thank You (We) Outro
Intro: (Crowd Cheering)

Verse 1:
Yo, it feels fantastic when you got fanatics/
Front row with their hands up at your show keeping it crackin’/
Even if they don’t know or heard your song before/
Dirt poor, still buy your CD to show support/
It’s alright though, if you can’t make the live show/
Just every now and than hit me with a myspace note/
And be like the s*** you write is dope/
Give me some insight, don’t have to be polite, you can criticize bro/
Just make sure it’s constructive, so I can be productive/
Because I won’t be conductive to words if their destructive/
I love it when my songs turned on like your seductive/
How my music’s making fiends out of the reluctant/
Maaaaan, its something to see the crowd jumping to what you’ve conceived/
Gave birth and than released to the streets/
Do I do it from the heart? Man, of course I do/
Plus I got enough soul to support your shoes/

Hook: (Me talking at a live show over a loud crowd)

Verse 2:
Yo, it feels spectacular when you got spectators/
You give them a little taste of your music and their loving the flavor/
When producers feel your style and start doing you favors/
You get familiar with love and recognize the haters/
Oh I got to thank ya, oblivious motivators/
Who think they’re keeping me down, but are the highest elevators/
Bias against my style, but little are the knowing/
The rumors that they are blowing are keeping my name going/
So hhheeeeeyyyyyy, you can doubt my ambition/
Because I know what’s best for myself like a dietician/
I ain’t the type for quitting, so I deny your wishes/
Unless your trying to listen because that applies to my mission/
I’m going to dine in the kitchen, make my pie and eat it too/
If you want to ride with the crew than I got a slice for you/
Because unite is what I’m trying to do/
Because I figured what I’m sent in life to do, and I hope you find it too!

Hook: (Me talking at a live show over a loud crowd)

Poem:
Love and Appreciation is much more than a reputation,
Much more than society's validation,
It’s the vaccination of any permanent complication,
It is the justification of all!
Though one's body is no longer at its initial purity,
You cannot fail to acknowledge the tear drops of sincerity,
You cannot ignore a soul being reborn,
You must not deprive the rarity of true feelings.
So I will accept your pain as mine in an attempt to find love,
I will recognize your pain as mine and turn your insecurities into memories,
I will make your pain mine until we intertwine like our genes while creating the most beautiful being,
Your pain will be mine and nor YOU or ME will be words beautiful enough to describe our bond,
Because from this moment there is only WE!
